En el momento de conjunción de las esferas gravitatorias (la de la galaxia 1, tiene radio R1 y volumen V1 la de la galaxia 2, tiene radio R2 y volumen V2)  y la distancia entre ellas es d12), se tocan en un punto de tangencia, más alejado de la galaxia de mayor masa.
